As her entrance finished Evelise handed down her favorite doll to her cousin symbolizing the change from her playful days to her turning focus to her future. She was then joined on the dance floor by her father for the Changing of the Shoes. Joyful tears were seen in his eyes as he replaced his daughters flat shoe with a high heel transforming her from a young girl to a gorgeous young woman. Dinner was commenced as music from Beauty and the Beast invited everyone to “Be our Guest” and enjoy the delicious meal. Toasts to the birthday girl were given during the meal and a candle lighting ceremony taking place for those deceased (including Evelise’s mother) following the dinner. The extravagant cake was brought out after the ceremony as Evelise spoke softly showing her gratitude and appreciation for everyone at her party. With the Sun shining brightly MB Entertainment provided DJ services to Nicole Ramirez and Adam Kerstetter on Saturday at the Sea Gate Beach Club. The ceremony was held on the beach and although strong winds tried to rip the ceremony apart the beautiful wedding still pressed on! During the ceremony we provided only audio as a friend of the couple played the guitar gracefully entertaining guests with a soft beautiful melody.

Ft. Lauderdale Pelican Beach Resort Lobby Wedding

The rainy season once again attempting ruin a perfectly planned outdoor wedding. Meredith and Ken were to be married roof top at the Pelican Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale. Rain, however, had other plans for their special day. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with heavy rain and winds clearing marking the way for an indoor wedding. To our surprise, we were asked to set up in a tent located outside towards the back of the hotel. As we finished setting up heavy winds blew down our front board along with breaking numerous vases and destroying decorations. The staff at the Pelican Beach Resort making the final decision that the wedding ceremony and reception would be moved inside to the hotel lobby.

The ceremony setting was not what the Meredith had envisioned but turned into a beautiful scene. The ceremony was finally ready to begin as instrumental music began playing throughout the lobby. Ken, the groom, was the first to walk down the aisle followed by Meredith, who was escorted by both of her parents. As bride walked down the aisle her and parents preceded under a beautiful chuppa made of tulle and bamboo. In traditional Jewish weddings the chuppa represents the new home that the couple will create together. Once both the bride and groom reached the alter, Rabbi Kaplan performed the ceremony beautifully. As the ceremony came to an end, the couple made their way back up the aisle and guests made their way to a cocktail hour prior to the reception.

Groom’s Entrance: “Marry Me” – Instrumental version

Brides Entrance: “By Your Side” – Instrumental version

Recessional: “Marry Me” by Train – Acoustic version

Cocktail Hour Music: Variety of instrumental tracks (no vocals)

The reception began without the typical introductions of the newly weds and bridal party. Ken and Meredith were the first in the reception room and greeted guests as the entered and took their seats. Once guests were seated the couple took the dance floor for their first dance as “Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts played. Dinner immediately followed the first dance. Music selections during dinner including a variety of slow songs such as selections by Sade and “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele.  The party began as guests finished their meals and MB Entertainment began to rock out the room! Big hits throughout the night including “Moves Like Jagger”, selections from Bruno Mars, and Black Eyed Peas.

This wonderful evening could not have been made possible without the help of Chaz and the Pelican Beach Resort Staff. Another thank you to Mike from MB Entertainment for making this event memorable jamming out to major hits all night! All the best to the new couple! May the hours of rain bring year and years of happiness to you!

A Rainy Day Wedding in Key Largo

A rainy October day turning into an absolutely beautiful and memorable wedding at the Key Largo Bayside Marriott. Unexpected rain taking the wedding in a new direction becoming more amazing than imagined! Upon our arrival we were greeted with a massive down pour drenching the chairs lining the way to the alter. The ceremony, originally set to take place on the beach, was moved to a covered area on the first floor of the hotel. Kathy Knowles and the Marriott staff worked diligently to rearrange the ceremony while wedding guests enjoyed a pre-ceremony cocktail hour. The heavy rain was unable to bring down the happy couple of this wonderful day. Mr. and Mrs. Murphy remembering that rain is often associated with romance and is said that the more rain the longer the marriage will last!

The rain was unable to stop this wedding from taking place and the officiant, who happened to be a good friend of the groom, performed the ceremony without a hitch!

Ceremony Selections Included: (All songs were instrumental)

Prelude music: “Cant Help Falling in Love”

Seating of the mothers: “Ave Maria”

Bridesmaids Entrance: “Canon in D”

Jenny’s Processional: “Over the Rainbow”

Recessional: “Wedding March”

After the ceremony, wedding guests moved to the “Upper Gus” in the hotel for a cocktail hour prior to the reception.  Cocktail highlights included Calypso Reggae Island Music.  Introductions of the wedding party and our guests of honor immediately followed the cocktail hour.

The couple proceeded to the dance floor upon entrance to the reception taking part in their first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Brian Murphy.  Kenny Rogers “You Decorated my Life” played as the newlyweds lit up the dance floor. As the first dance came to an end, the bride’s father took the dance floor stealing his daughter away for a dance to “My Girl” by the Temptations. The groom’s mother also met her son on the dance floor as “Have I Told You Lately” by Rod Stewart filled the ears of guests.

During the dinner, light romantic music filled the room setting the scene for a wonderful evening. As guests enjoyed a delicious surf-and-turf dinner the Toasting of the Bride and Groom began. The groom’s best man, his son, was too young to speak so friends of the groom stepped up giving the first of the toasts followed by the maid of honor, and a few bridesmaids. The beautiful wedding cake was then brought out and joined by the bride and the groom. “Forever and For Always” by Shania Twain filled the room as the bride and groom cut the first slice.

The rain became only a mere memory as guests enjoyed the out of this world evening. The groom appearing as the Mission Impossible theme song filled the air as he proceeded to remove the brides garter tossing it into the air while “Just a Gigolo” by David Lee Roth played. Female wedding guests enjoying the setting became ecstatic after hearing “All my Single Ladies” by Beyonce take over the room just before the bride tossed her bouquet to the crowd. MB entertainment continuing to rock the house as the bride extended the reception an extra hour! Big hits of the night included “Moves Like Jagger,” “The Time” by the Black Eyed Peas, Christina Aguilera and the favorite of the grooms father “California Love.”
